Description

• Beyond traditional monolithic SQL engines and batch pipelines• Build next generation distributed data storage and processing systems• Ability to scale indefinitely and surpass traditional query performance• Develop interfaces for data that are simple, expressive and abstracted• Support various data consumers for web application, business analytics, and AI• Identify and develop scalable and performant solutions• Shape product strategy and execution across disciplines• Develop code architecture and quality standards• Mentor and coach engineers• Set and uphold engineering processes standards for high-quality engineering

Requirements

• BS/BTech (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field• 10+ years experience as engineer building highly scalable systems• 6+ years experience as trusted technical decision-maker• 4+ years experience with SQL or other database querying languages• Experience architecting and deploying large-scale distributed systems• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)• Strong familiarity with server-side web technologies (e.g., Java, Python, etc.)• 10+ years experience building full-stack web applications• 8+ years experience with CSS/HTML/Javascript and modern JS frameworks• Experience with EHRs/EMRs and building integration apps• Experience with API design, cloud technologies, and security protocols• Expertise in at least 1 server-side web technology (Python preferred)• Deep understanding of the DOM, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and web technologies
