• Implementing available, resilient and highly performant services used by millions of people • Making key technical decisions and design choices • Writing amazing code • Providing advice and support to other engineers • Collaborating to help specify, design, and develop software meeting company and product requirements • Lead responsibility for different areas of the architecture • Communicating with senior leadership around different areas and projects • Developer-focused startup based in San Francisco’s SOMA district • Offering feature-rich cloud-based development environments with free VMs, an attractive code editor & terminal • Learning programming languages like Ruby, Go, Java, NodeJS, PHP, C, C++, Perl, Python • Experimenting with installing/configuring/hacking various software and databases • Pair-programming with friends and colleagues using audio-video and real-time sharing of the development workspace • Moving software development completely to the cloud
Requirements
• Smart, motivated developer • 4-6 years of proven, hands-on experience with the back-end of large-scale web applications
