Description
• This Data Systems Administrator would focus on working with customers on data migration • Decommissioning legacy storage systems • Performing OS upgrades to get our storage systems on non-out-of-date Operating Systems • Help with daily maintenance tasks of the storage systems • Make improvements to processes and procedures by updating documentation, enhancing automation, monitoring and reporting • Build tools to facilitate self-service and automation
Requirements
• Good handle on Linux OS administration with focus on storage and networking • Good written and verbal communication skills to facilitate positive relationships with customers over long periods of time • Experience configuring and maintaining file systems, including NFS, Samba and local file systems • Experience working with IPMI and ILOM • Understanding of Linux permissions (standard POSIX and NFSv4) • Detail-oriented and ability to track multiple projects over a long period of time
