Description

• Lead the management and continuous optimization of Aventon’s Shopify-based e-commerce platform, ensuring a superior online shopping experience and driving sales growth. • Oversee all front-end development efforts related to Shopify, implementing user-friendly features, optimizing site performance, and addressing technical issues to maintain platform stability. • Provide guidance and support to the frontend/web team, encouraging high standards of performance and innovation, and assisting in achieving project goals. • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap that prioritizes front-end development, aligns with Aventon’s business objectives, and leverages the full capabilities of Shopify to enhance competitiveness. • Partner closely with Operations, Marketing, Branding, and other teams focused on user experience to understand business requirements, align technology initiatives with organizational goals, and successfully execute strategic projects. • Oversee relationships with external technology vendors and service providers, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality delivery of Shopify-related solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT leadership roles with a successful track record in managing Shopify-based e-commerce platforms and independent e-commerce sites. • Strong background in leading e-commerce initiatives, with hands-on experience in managing web front-end teams and driving development efforts, particularly in Shopify-based environments. • Experience working closely with Marketing or Growth departments in an e-commerce company, with a deep understanding of how IT can support business objectives in these areas. • Strong technical expertise in front-end development for e-commerce, with proficiency in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development frameworks. • Proven ability to guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives. • Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. • Strategic thinker with robust problem-solving abilities, a results-oriented mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
