• The System Administrator will manage Linux-based systems, AWS cloud infrastructure, and DevOps processes. • Focus on implementing security practices and managing the DHIS 2 application. • Ensure smooth operation of IT environment, supporting both internal and client-facing applications. • Administer, configure, and maintain Linux servers for stability, performance, and security. • Manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and scaling resources. • Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible. • Perform regular security scans and assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement security measures. • Monitor system health and performance using tools and respond to incidents and outages effectively. • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve system reliability. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and security practices. • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 3 years of relevant work experience. • Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Linux environments. • Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC. • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code. • Experience with security practices, including vulnerability scanning, patch management, and incident response. • Hands-on experience managing DHIS 2 or similar data management applications is beneficial but not required. • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python). • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
