Description

This position is a manager position within BayLegal’s finance department and is primarily responsible for overseeing payroll and related accounting. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily operations of BayLegal’s payroll to ensure efficiency, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable laws. The position will oversee transition from MIP to Paycom platform to increase automation and integration of payroll, HR management, and timekeeping. Also responsible for ongoing compliance, integration, and efficiency of payroll operations and financial forecasting and budgeting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance, or business administration • Minimum of seven years of increasingly responsible in an accounting position • At least one year of experience in a lead or supervisory role • Willing to be on-site at BayLegal office at least three days per week and as needed • Current proficiency, and ability to improve proficiency, in technological equipment, hardware and software necessary to perform duties of the position • Knowledge and experience implementing principles and practices of accounting • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills • Experience reading, interpreting, and explaining finance accounting rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
