Description
• The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, ad hoc analysis and maintenance of the accounting records. • This role involves analyzing costs, preparing excel analysis, and identifying opportunities to increase the efficiency of the accounting department as we scale up. • The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial decision-making by assisting with ensuring accurate financial information is available. • Preparation of journal entries during monthly close. • Responsible for certain balance sheet reconciliations at each month end. • Assist in preparation of monthly reporting analysis. • Assist in preparation of monthly inventory related journal entries. • Assist with a variety of tax compliance matters. • Preparation of documents for financial and bank audits. • Take part in forecasting and financial standards setting process. • Develop recommendations to optimize the company’s accounting systems and procedures. • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements. • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. • CPA certification preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
