Description

• The Card Payment teams are responsible for building enhanced capabilities for card issuing & processing in the cloud-based Bill.com Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables platforms. • Enable customers to pay & get paid using streamlined card payment options from rapid to instant payouts across multiple channels. • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. • Engineer code for the card payments team. • Interact with cross-functional heads and eventually be the SME on card payments.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience designing, developing and supporting scalable payment systems using Java and Distributed systems • Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience. • Clear understanding of SDLC. • Extensive practical experience in several commercial engineering efforts. Experienced working on large scale, complex applications • Extensive experience in designing and architecting microservices-based systems, including the decomposition of monolithic applications. • Proven track record of implementing containerization technologies like Docker for packaging, distributing, and running applications in a consistent and isolated environment. • Ability to challenge the norm and maturity to advocate for changes for the greater benefit of the business • Strong interest in latest technologies. • Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers • Experience in payments industry or building payment applications • Experienced in database technologies. • Expert in SOAP/REST communication, Usage of test harnesses, giving technical direction to QA engineers and ability to write extensive architecture and design documents. • Security mindset with PCI/PII experience is preferred. • Understanding of the scrum practices and ability to drive delivery and solutions forward with minimal supervision. • SME for reporting tools like Splunk, LogRocket, QuickBase, etc. • Product: passion for great products and building great experiences, Proven ability to take the product through all stages of development from concept to launch at scale. • Clear communication and articulation skills. Ability to concise engineering efforts and communicate to leadership after the fact about what was done and how it turned out • Quickly isolates/debugs issues even in areas outside of one's own domain • Excellent troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
