Description

Our team is growing and we’re hiring multiple Senior Full Stack Engineers to join our engineering team and enable our next phase of growth. Canary's engineering team is fully remote!You should be a strong IC that can deal with ambiguity, and understand what it takes to build quality, maintainable full-stack applications. You should also care deeply about the customer experience and work closely with Product Managers to inform product decision making. The services built and owned by your team will have to operate at large scale and hence passion and discipline around operational excellence is essential.What You'll DoYou'll collaborate with a team of engineers and managers to create applications used by our hotel customers around the worldWrite clean, self-documenting code that follows best practices and design patternsProvide creative ideas to improve our product and technologyThink beyond the specifics of a ticket in order to delight customers or grow the businessEffective in 1:1 mentoring and active in code reviews. Advises tech lead on technical decisionsBe a self-starter that can deal with ambiguity, take initiative, and execute on projects with little direction

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience • Solid knowledge of developing backend applications • Experience with Javascript and common front-end frameworks such as ReactJS or VueJS • Have a strong demonstrated ability to ship high-quality products • Self-motivated, collaborative, and diligent work ethic • Expert in Python with knowledge on at least one industry standard framework like Django, Flask, etc. (Bonus Points) • Experience using Docker and cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Bonus Points) • Experience with SQL databases and database design skills (Bonus Points)
