• Analyze Seller accounts and Customer transactions to identify patterns, areas of weakness and predict risky behavior that could result in losses. • Scale risk processes to cover an increasing landscape of payments risks • Work with internal partners and users to develop solutions that mitigate fraud risk across different Seller categories, eCommerce platforms, payment processors, payment methods, and products categories • Run, analyze and present against monthly reports outlining effectiveness and attention areas of your efforts • Analyze data to identify potential process changes or enhancement requests; work with internal partners to justify, prioritize and implement with a focus on consistency across brands and platforms • Analyze rule performance; recommend modifications or enhancements to reduce customer friction or increase fraud prevention. • Participate in sourcing, justifying and implementing new or additional tools and 3rd party partners to improve the effectiveness of the fraud program and improve the customer experience.
• Understanding of new fraud motives and sensible diagnosis of key control points • Analytical, and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions • 3+ years of experience with fraud prevention, data analysis, investigations, and risk management for eCommerce platforms and payments • 3+ years reviewing orders and transactions, identifying fraud trends and creating fraud rules • Deep experience working within Shopify and Stripe • Ability to think analytically and distill complex issues • Excellent attention to detail with consistent accuracy • Must be highly organized and have the ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast paced environment • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) when presenting to stakeholders at various management levels • Must be able to work within a team environment and be a team player • Must be able to maintain high standards of professionalism and courtesy when contacting vendors, sellers and customer • Fundamental understanding of statistics or Machine Learning based algorithms is a plus
