Description

• Lead and drive the vision for data engineering initiatives, setting the team up for success with best practice architecture enabling the team to successfully deliver on objectives. • Form strong cross functional relationships with cross-functional teams including product developers and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions that drive business outcomes. • Leverage expertise to challenge the current business process, assumptions, systems design to drive the team towards improved scalable solutions. • Actively supports the team by removing barriers or raising issues as appropriate to move work forward. Empowers the team to innovate and deliver high-quality software solutions using agile techniques. • Lead the establishment of standards and best practices across various engineering processes from requirements to maintenance. • Exemplifying our core values of Make Tomorrow Better than Today, Attack Hard Problems, Driven by Customer Outcomes, and Play to win Together!

Requirements

• 10+ years of team-based programming experience • 5+ years of management experience, including mentoring and team leadership • 5+ years of hands-on experience with data pipelines, data analytics, data warehouse management and data engineering • Advanced proficiency in Java, SQL, N1QL, Python, or similar languages • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures • Proven track record of building and deploying enterprise-scale solutions • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience accepted • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, and GitHub for automated deployment pipelines. • Ability to architect and deliver API-led microservices and REST/SOAP web services. • Familiarity with cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS, GCP, or Azure. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead discussions and influence stakeholders. • Experience in regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GxP) is a plus. • Experience with integration platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, Informatica, Fivetran, or equivalent. • Experience with data warehouses or data Lakes such as Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent. Couchbase DB experience a strong plus. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; substantial equivalent experience in analytical research-oriented work may be considered. • Experience with consumption or usage based pricing models a strong plus.
