• Develop machine learning optimization algorithms and systems for ML models that drive self-driving vehicles. • Develop large scale model optimization infrastructure that scales for large foundational models in a cost-effective manner. • Bring SOTA workflows and algorithms to Cruise by vendoring open source libraries and integrating them into the end-to-end model development workflow. • Build a scalable training and deployment infrastructure where architecture selection and model optimization techniques can be seamlessly integrated. • Collaborate with Autonomy, Performance systems, ML infrastructure teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience considered. • Strong experience in deep learning and (preferably) foundational models. • Strong experience in building scalable tooling and infrastructure for training and deployment of foundational models. • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PyTorch, C++ • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
