Description

• Lead and nurture the growth of the engineering team, mentoring individual engineers to help them achieve their fullest potential and career goals. • Embed Crusoe's core values into the daily operations and culture of the engineering team, ensuring these principles guide all decision-making and processes. • Spearhead the development of scalable and robust software solutions, aligning closely with the strategic objectives outlined in the Crusoe Cloud roadmap. • Continuously stay abreast of the latest trends and techniques in cloud software, incorporating these insights to keep Crusoe's offerings at the forefront of innovation. • Drive the hiring process to attract top talent, and implement strategies to retain and develop these skilled professionals within the organization. • Foster a collaborative and dynamic environment where creativity and technical excellence are encouraged, leading to the development of cutting-edge cloud solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience, 6+ years of experience working in software engineering • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++ • 5+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5-8+ years relevant work experience • You get things done across organizational and technical boundaries • You have experience driving large initiatives spanning across multiple teams in your current or previous roles, and excel at collaborating cross-team and cross-functionally • You had experience managing technical initiatives aimed towards web performance or developer productivity, or you’re interested in building this expertise • Proven experience in building and maintaining scalable and highly available fault-tolerant distributed systems and application architectures • Solid understanding of infrastructure design, including the operational trade-offs of various designs • Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and build systems, such as GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, GitHub Actions • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Must be able to pass a background check • Embody the Company values
