• Lead the architecture and design of reliable, scalable, and cost-effective electrical systems for robotics solutions • Drive components selection and oversee their integration into the design • Create wiring configurations and harness designs for reliable electrical performance • Design for signal integrity and establish effective grounding practices • Utilize advanced eCAD tools to create and review electrical schematics • Support the Mechanical engineering counterparts for seamless integration • Collaborate with Hardware Test engineers to develop robust testing plans • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with software engineers • Write and maintain design documentation that clearly communicates design considerations • Support the initial product installations at customer facilities
• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience • 10 or more years of related work experience • Experience with motors, servo drivers, sensors, communication protocols, robot arms, and controllers • Experience with lab test instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, DC loads, power supplies, spectrum analyzers • Experience with circuit design including analog circuits, digital logic, high-speed signals, filtering, high-voltage circuits • Experience using eCAD tools like Autocad Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent • Experience with an industrial hardware product certification process and familiarity with applicable standards (FCC, NFPA 79, UL, CE, IEC) • Experience in troubleshooting control systems and electrical system issues • Familiar with Hardware Product Life Cycle stages and product lifecycle management tools • Familiar with using a PLM system (Arena, Agile, Teamcenter) • Experience working with engineering off-shore subcontractors, vendors, and global contract manufacturers • Experience with power electronics design and practical experience in battery-powered systems design - an advantage • Experience with electronics for industrial automation - an advantage • Strong technical writing skills • Able to work on multiple projects and global engineering teams concurrently • Fast learner, can autonomously translate learning into execution
