• Maintain, enhance, and operate metal powder bed fusion additive manufacturing machines, ensuring optimal part quality, machine uptime, and production throughput within set schedules. • Develop, optimize, and maintain LPBF processes and equipment to ensure high-quality production. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LPBF technologies into the manufacturing workflow. • Conduct research and stay updated on the latest advancements in LPBF technology and materials. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to LPBF equipment and processes. • Perform root cause analysis to identify and address process and equipment failures. • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. • Develop troubleshooting flowcharts and plans. • Create and implement maintenance instructions and plans. • Develop and track maintenance and reliability metrics. • Document and standardize LPBF processes and procedures. • Develop and deliver training programs for staff on LPBF equipment and processes. • Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders. • Develop maintenance and sparing strategies. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. • Manage configuration and ensure proper calibration and testing of equipment. • Develop equipment qualification and quality system documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in additive manufacturing, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and AM-specific software. • Strong understanding of LPBF technologies, materials, and post-processing techniques. • Experience in performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Proficiency with software and applications related to AM, such as simulation tools, data analysis software, and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
