Description
• Manage a team of 6-8 finance analysts and finance specialists • Provide necessary technical accounting support to ensure the team's work meets EdOps quality standards • Guide and support staff’s career paths • Serve as an outsourced controller for 1-2 of schools • Contribute to EdOps’ continual improvement of the finance service line efficiency and accuracy • Make recommendations, inform and collaborate with the Director of People Operations to optimize our people operations wide practices and approaches • Play an active role in the ongoing recruitment process of new staff
Requirements
• Experience managing teams of finance or accounting professionals • Strong organization and time management skills • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy • Experience with accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks Online) and capacity to learn new systems • Ability to write and clearly document processes and procedures • Intermediate Excel skills • Ability to interface professionally with clients • Typically, Finance Team Managers have 10+ years of work or post-secondary educational experience, including 3+ years of management or supervisory experience • Experience working with schools or non-profit organizations is a plus • Audit experience a plus
