Description
• This position is responsible for assisting the Fabric Accounting Manager with basic accounting functions such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly close, account reconciliations, and other various accounting activities • This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail and reports to the Accounting Manager • This position is not responsible for the supervision of any other Fabric team members but must work collaboratively with other team members • Prepare customer invoices, customer statements, and apply customer payments in accounting software • Create and update, as needed, customer records in accounting software • Process vendor bills for approval in AP system and prepare payment status reports as requested • Create and update, as needed, vendor records in accounting software • Prepare various weekly reports, such as accounts receivable aging and accounts payable aging • Prepare bank and other monthly account reconciliations • Actively seek out additional assignments or assist co-workers with their tasks when available • Assist Accounting Manager with various monthly, quarterly, and annual close tasks • Prepare adjusting journal entries in accounting software, as needed • Assist Accounting Manager with monthly sales tax filings • Assist Accounting team with record-keeping procedures
Requirements
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting preferred, but will accept significant accounting coursework with excellent performance • 1-2 years of work experience in accounting preferred • Proficient with Microsoft Excel • Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred • Exhibit a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks performed • Manage time appropriately to ensure that all areas of their job responsibilities are adequately covered • Have active listening skills and communicates with co-workers in a clear, concise, and positive manner • Demonstrate a positive approach to problem-solving • Possess and demonstrate sound business judgment and objectivity • Initiate work independently without direction and can complete tasks without continual supervision • Maintain ethical, courteous, and professional behavior, which reflects favorably on Fabric and adheres to the Fabric employee handbook • Demonstrate flexibility and can respond to changing priorities and constructive guidance • Handle conflict appropriately and effectively
