• Engage with battery storage system BoS (Balance of System) suppliers to drive integration efforts between Gotion’s energy storage products with downstream equipment, including PCS, EMS, and other power and monitoring systems. • Develop and review performance modeling of LFP battery energy storage systems, and provide guidance to external customers in modeling methodologies. • Develop and review system electrical designs, including but not limited to cable sizing, short circuit protection, component and system grounding, auxiliary system loading, etc. • Working with internal applications engineering team to support sales staff in providing robust energy storage system proposals and project designs.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, or other relevant engineering experience • 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware integration, power converter design/testing, utility power distribution, or other relevant industry experience. • Prior work experience in energy storage, power distribution, solar or other renewable energy strongly preferred. • Working understanding of grid-tied energy storage system functions, performance modeling, BoS selection, and applicable standards including UL1973/1741/9540, NFPA70/NEC. • In-depth understanding of HV power electronic components (active and passive) and expertise in developing associated characterization/validation testing methods • Strong understanding of device characteristics, gate driving circuit design, thermal design, magnetics design (inductors, transformers), power electronics topologies (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC), and control theories. • Proficiency with EE tools (scopes, network analyzers, power supplies, electronic loads, CAN tools) • Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, with methodical troubleshooting track record on complex hardware/software systems. • Effective communicator and excellent attention to detail • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Visio), Adobe Acrobat Pro, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software.
