Description

• The Senior Acoustic Design Engineer has a strong background in acoustics, sound engineering, and/or noise control and is responsible for designing and implementing solutions to reduce cabin noise and enhance overall acoustical performance. • The person in this role collaborates with cross-functional teams, conducts acoustic measurements, and provides guidance to improve product and environment soundscapes. • The role requires expertise in acoustic modeling software, knowledge of industry standards, and a passion for creating optimal auditory experiences.

Requirements

• Proven experience in acoustics, sound engineering, or noise control. • Proficiency in acoustic modeling software (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS). • Ability to check engineering drawings for Fit, Form and Function. • Ability to coach and motivate team of engineers. • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally. • Budget and project management experience. • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively and motivate teammates in productive and efficient manner. • Strong time-management and organizational skills. • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations. • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality acoustical solutions. • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, use hands to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus. • Ability to travel as required. • Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.
