Description
• Data scientist role at Gridmatic Inc. • Collection, preprocessing, and analysis of data to support development efforts • Conducting customer simulations, pricing analysis, risk assessments, and reports • Work with engineering to integrate datasets for growth • Fetch and transform data from domestic and international energy markets • Evaluate and backtest risk policies • Set up simulations and pricing analysis • Data visualization and presentation • Automation of analyses • Analyzing electricity market data • Contributing to industry reports and white papers
Requirements
• 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst • Understanding of machine learning principles • Experience with querying, data quality, analytics, and visualization • Coding experience in Python • Experience in tool development and systems automation • Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra) • Problem-solving aptitude • Excellent communication and presentation skills • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or relevant field; graduate degree preferred • Comfort working in a research-oriented group with multiple ongoing projects • Knowledge of electricity markets is a strong plus
