• The Security Architecture Engineer – Americas is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security architectures across the Americas region. • Lead the development and implementation of security architectures across the Americas, ensuring alignment with global security strategies and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Design and review secure IT systems, networks, and applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and resilience. • Oversee the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures, particularly in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. • Conduct threat modeling exercises and risk assessments to identify potential security risks. • Work closely with engineering and product teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). • Establish, maintain, and enforce security standards and best practices across the region. • Ensure that all security architectures comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, PCI DSS, and SOC 2. • Provide architectural guidance during security incidents, helping to identify root causes and recommend remediation strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security architecture, cybersecurity, or a related area. • Proven experience in designing and implementing secure architectures for complex systems and applications. • Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and standards, including Zero Trust, NIST, and ISO 27001. • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically about security challenges. • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or equivalent. • Experience with cloud security architecture, particularly in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools. • Knowledge of financial technology (fintech) regulations and secure payment architectures.
