Developmental Disability and Mental Health
• Provide group and/or individual support in the community • Develop opportunities for consumers to participate in community activities • Facilitate relationship building and skills development in the community • Advocate on behalf of consumers • Complete required documentation • Maintain professional relationships • Implement behavioral intervention plans • Coordinate consumer programming • Act as mandated abuse reporter • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure program efficiency
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent • Two years of related experience or an approved combination of experience and education • Possession of a valid California driver’s license and clear driving record • CPR and First Aid certification • Ability to work independently and cooperatively • Strong communication and documentation skills • Knowledge of alternative communication systems and assistive technology • Positive and cooperative attitude • Flexibility with scheduling • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work with a diverse population
