Description

• Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems • Supervise the monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of servers and services • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for new systems • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver performance statistics • Supervise and lead server operating system configuration and maintenance for virtual servers • Utilize industry-standard monitoring tools to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities • Propose and create system design models and specifications to provide direction to dev teams • Assist with defining business requirements, identify and resolve system issues • Create documentation related to all aspects of covered area and keep it up-to-date • Collaborate with other departments to track and report cross projects & tasks

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience with Linux (CentOS/RHEL/CloudLinux) and LAMP stack • Proficiency in Linux Firewall • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, protocols, routing, and firewalls) • Strong scripting knowledge in bash, perl, and python • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion • Experience with MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL, SQL administration is preferred • Experience with virtualization platforms (Proxmox, Virtuozzo, and VMware) is a plus • Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible, Puppet, and Salt) is a plus • Familiarity with storage technologies like NFS and iSCSI troubleshooting is a plus • Being on call is an expected requirement for this position
