Description
• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries • Support month-end and year-end close process • Work to reconcile accounting inaccuracies • Document data and prepare reconciliations • Recommend financial actions • Summarize and prepare financial status • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents • Maintain accounting controls • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures • Participate in financial standards setting • Prepare and review Budget vs actual variances • Provide input into department's goal setting process • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule • Direct internal and external audits • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies • Communicate effectively with clients and outside auditors • Assist with preparations for audits • Contribute to a strong client relationship • Communicate with Manager/Director on work status • Manage a team of 2-3 staff in the future
Requirements
• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations • CPA experience preferred • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills • Outstanding reliability and discretion • Willingness to continually learn, iterate, and coordinate multiple projects • Demonstrated proficiency in math, accounting and financial processes • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Willingness to work at our North Redondo Beach facility full-time
