Description
• Design and develop core product features as a full-stack engineer • Work on implementing user interactions and building background jobs • Help evolve the engineering culture, processes, and technical direction • Provide key input to areas beyond engineering such as product, growth, and operations • Rotate through being a project lead, overseeing projects such as updating core underwriting engine, supporting additional life insurance carrier, introducing 2FA for improved account protection, and automating handling of new document types • Be part of a distributed team with headquarters in Sausalito, California and Denver, Colorado • Contribute to moving billions of dollars on the platform • First-hand exposure to business development and ability to progress independently
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience as an engineer shipping products • Experience with data modeling • Experience with TypeScript • Interest in becoming an expert in a domain few in Silicon Valley understand • Proficiency with SQL • Bonus if you have experience in tech stack including Next.js, React, GraphQL, Node/Typescript, Prisma, Postgres, Heroku, AWS, terraform, and dbt
