Description
• Developing story ideas, researching topics, and conducting interviews with subject matter experts to report on Kairos Power’s progress on its path to commercializing KP-FHR technology • Traveling to Kairos Power locations to document testing, manufacturing, construction, and operations • Staying apprised of industry trends, market conditions, and relevant policy to contextualize Kairos Power’s commercial strategy and development approach • Capturing oral histories with Kairos Power co-founders, leadership, and employees to document the company’s story as it’s happening • Developing content that advances Kairos Power’s corporate narrative and aligns with business objectives, including articles, blog posts, fact sheets, newsletters, social media posts, and web pages
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, writing, engineering, or the sciences • 5+ years of experience working as a journalist, science writer, or public relations specialist with a strong portfolio of writing samples on technical topics • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner • Ability to understand complex technical information and communicate it to a lay audience • Familiarity with digital communication tools and social media platforms • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment. • Ability to work with a highly collaborative team • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently • Ability to proactively collect, manage, and transfer knowledge • Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges, and issues
