• Creating and documenting Best Practices software development processes and procedures • Writing requirements specifications for various functions in of the BMS • Implementing software components in C • Working with software test engineers to ensure safety critical components are fully verified and documented • Working with peer firmware engineers to integrate new components into the BMS code base • Working with fellow engineers to validate software behaviour in the battery pack • Participating in peer code reviews • Reviewing hardware schematics
• Electrical or Software Engineering Degree (Masters degree or above preferred) • Experience developing software for safety critical applications • Functional Safety (FuSa) training for ISO 26262 • Experience writing C and/or C++ software for an embedded processor • Experience working with Cortex-R microcontrollers for safety applications • 8+ years of experience in the embedded development area
