• Deliver Battery Safety and Abuse testing at cell, module, and pack levels • Plan and coordinate internal and external testing activities • Analyze test data and provide feedback for product development • Maintain test equipment and support testing capabilities • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development of specifications • Lead troubleshooting and diagnostic activities for tests and equipment • Support 'off-site' Safety and Abuse test events • Plan and support ‘off-site’ Safety and Abuse test events • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives • Lead test and equipment related troubleshooting and diagnostic activities • Plan and support ‘off-site’ Safety and Abuse test events (occasional travel required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or related field • 2+ years experience (post Bachelor's) in battery testing or associated role • Experience with battery safety and abuse test methods • Hands-on experience with testing equipment and methods • High level of mathematical and data analysis capabilities • Proficient with statistical programming languages for data analysis • Knowledge of test standards and regulations (e.g., SAE, UL, IEC) • Experience with CAD and ability to communicate effectively with machine shop staff • Experience working with high-voltage, high-current systems
