Description

• Develop structural designs for US-based and international client projects utilizing Mighty Buildings’ panelized construction system; Create detailed structural Revit models, perform calculations, and generate accurate drawings. Prepare take-offs and support cost estimation processes. • Conduct comprehensive structural analyses to assess the load-bearing capacity and stability of various components, including steel, structural insulated panels, and wood framing. • Collaborate closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to integrate structural elements seamlessly into overall building designs. • Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with local building codes, environmental conditions, and industry standards to maintain structural integrity and building safety. • Contribute to a culture of creativity and excellence by solving problems in novel ways and staying up to date with the latest advancements in engineering technologies; embrace an agile and adaptive working style that fosters initiative, accountability, and continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred). • Proficiency in residential structural design. Familiarity with timber, LGS, and steel. Structural insulated panels (SIPs) is a nice to have. • Proficiency in Revit, Autocad, structural FEM software, and structural design analysis software. • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with strong knowledge of seismic design. • At least 5 years of work experience in residential or commercial construction. • Strong knowledge of the International Building Code, and construction methods. Ability to implement local building and zoning code requirements, particularly for California and Florida. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent analytical collaborative problem-solving skills.
