Description

• Build NewsBreak’s security platform and ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices. • Develop and execute the overall security engineering strategy aligned with the organization’s goals. • Oversee the design and implementation of security architectures, including networks, systems, and applications. • Lead the design, implementation, and management of security infrastructure and policies. • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST). • Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across the organization’s technology environment. • Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure security strategies support business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science or relevant field • 10+ years of experience in a security engineering or similar role, with at least 4+ years in a technical leadership/architect role • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring information security operations • Solid understanding of modern cloud architecture in AWS, Kubernetes, etc. • Knowledge of information security management frameworks, such as ISO 27001, CIS 20 or NIST, SOC2 • Solid understanding of key data protection regulations including GDPR & CCPA • Experience in collaborating with XFN partners including R&D, Legal, Trust and Safety etc. • Strong communication skills with a can-do attitude; Strong sense of ownership • Passion for startup is a plus
