Description
• Over 12 weeks as a data science intern at Nextdoor, you’ll own the research, analysis, presentation, and productionization of a stand-alone project or model that directly impacts our product strategy • You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and other data scientists to deliver a meaningful project in an area like content moderation, ads allocations, or growth & notifications
Requirements
• Currently pursuing a quantitative degree • Comfort working in Python or R, including common scientific computing packages and data science tools such as numpy, pandas, and scikit-learn • Comfort with methods, tools, and packages for statistical modeling and machine learning • Experience formulating, running, and sharing complex analyses • Experience architecting, debugging, and executing SQL queries • Excellent written and oral communication, including ability to effectively communicate complexity to a diverse group of stakeholders • Curiosity about how things work, from both a business and technical perspective • A collaborative spirit and a commitment to community
