Description
• Seeking enthusiastic DevOps Engineer • Main point of contact for backend engineering of broad suite of applications • Provide insight for customers, business, and growth • Apply engineering best practices • Build and implement software upgrades and patches • Design and engineer solutions for advanced troubleshooting • Implement monitoring and alerting for all Application services • Proactively maintain and develop backend systems infrastructure • Participate in the improvement of stability, efficiency, and scalability of environments • Oversee routine maintenance and perform systematic testing • Help shape DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods, and best practices • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions • Trusted escalation point for services team and customers • 5+ years of experience supporting Linux, working in a DevOps or SRE-related role, scripting with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and/or Groovy, scaling and tuning real-time data pipelines with Kafka and Kafka Streams, developing, deploying and scaling containerized environments, configuring and supporting multiple AWS environments, and integrating MongoDB or other NoSQL Databases • 3+ years of experience with media caching pipelines • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code • Extensive experience with configuration management tools • Proficiency in one or more monitoring and logging tools • Proficiency with IT infrastructure • Experience writing SOPs and KBs • Self-motivated individual with excellent time management and organizational skills
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience supporting Linux in a professional setting • 5+ years of experience working in a DevOps or SRE-related role • 5+ years of experience with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and/or Groovy scripting • 5+ years of experience with scaling and tuning real-time data pipelines with Kafka and Kafka Streams • 5+ years of experience developing, deploying and scaling containerized environments with Docker and/or Kubernetes in AWS • 3+ years of experience working with and optimizing media (audio, video, image, etc.) caching pipelines • 3+ years of experience configuring, supporting and scaling multiple AWS environments across EC2, ECS, S3, Cloudfront, etc as well as Serverless computing environments (Lambda, etc) • Experience with integrating MongoDB or other NoSQL Databases as well as real-time databases such as RocksDB • Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform etc.) • Extensive experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef Proficiency in one or more monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Logstash, etc.,) • Proficiency with IT infrastructure: networking, storage, security • Experience writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Knowledge Base Articles (KBs) • Certification with ITIL Frameworks • Passion for Video editing (desired)
