Description
• You will foster a data-driven culture by ensuring everyone has easy access to trustworthy and complete data • You will interface between data engineering and end users to help improve our data tooling and development velocity • You will define and enforce our data best practices - data modeling, testing, version control, and cataloging • You will build efficient, modular, flexible, and reliable datasets that can unlock insight for stakeholders across the business — whether for analytic, machine learning, or operational purposes • You will identify gaps in how we collect data today, and work with engineering teams to ensure we are measuring the things that we need to measure about our customers and our product
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience • You collaborate well with data, engineering, product, and business functions • You care deeply about the quality and correctness of your work • You are comfortable managing competing and shifting priorities and can organize your own work to accomplish multiple tasks • You are excited about working on a small team and setting the foundations for how data is used at Parafin • You have two years of work experience in a similar role • You are deeply experienced with SQL, and are able to write efficient queries • You have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines • Familiarity with “modern data stack” tools and technologies, such as Databricks, Airflow, DBT, and Reverse ETL • Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience identifying and communicating data-derived insights
