Description

• Develop and execute a vision and strategy for the Wholesail platform • Take ownership of Wholesail's foundational accounting platform • Lead integration efforts and expand integration platform • Build revenue-driving products on top of the accounting platform • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features • Build and maintain core platform components, services, internal/external APIs • Debug production issues and provide solutions • Contribute to development and improvement of engineering standards and processes • Oncall to oversee system maintenance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering • Quick learner on unfamiliar technologies • Experience in designing and implementing distributed systems • Solid understanding of data structures, design, and algorithms • Familiarity with database technologies, especially PostgreSQL • Excellent troubleshooting skills • Effective written and spoken English communication skills • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills • Excellent prototyping skills • Background in developing backend services • Familiarity with logging, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices • Strong discipline in unit and integration testing • Experience with client software deployment • Nice to have: Contribution to open-source projects, experience with payment systems, internet security, or business software applications
