• Take ownership of multiple electronic assemblies on the aircraft throughout the design lifecycle • Explore architectural changes to existing designs • Create efficient production testing solutions for electronic assemblies • Design and coordinate design validation testing for our electronics and sensors • Mentor electrical engineers and provide technical guidance in design and development process • Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes to improve yield, performance, reliability, and/or manufacturability • Iterate on existing designs and develop innovative solutions to new problems • Develop hardware and firmware for projects related to power, propulsion, sensor, and control systems
• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience • Experience in module-level architecture definition • Experience with PCB layout and schematic capture • Experience with common communication protocols (SPI, UART, CAN) • Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design concepts • Proficient at troubleshooting circuits with appropriate lab tools • Strong verbal and written communication skills required • Must be willing to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Experience with aviation electronics standards, architecture and processes • Experience taking at least one product through the entire development process • Experience with data analysis/aggregation using python or MATLAB • Proficient at troubleshooting firmware (C/C++) with appropriate environment • Familiarity/experience with one or more of the following: • Low and high voltage power electronics design • EMI/EMC compliance • DFMEA, reliability metrics • Prototype and medium volume manufacturing • GPS or UAV sensors
