• Join our team as a Project Inspector / Construction Manager III and be a vital part of ensuring the safety and success of construction projects across the Los Angeles Community College District! • This role involves inspecting a variety of projects to ensure compliance with permitted and Division of the State Architect (DSA) approved plans, resolving minor issues, and documenting inspections. • Responsibilities include continuous project inspection, materials testing coordination, and reporting non-compliant work. • The position requires understanding CALOSHA safety requirements, reviewing plans, attending safety meetings, managing bond-funded projects, and participating in pre-construction meetings. • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to coordinate with various departments and agencies.
• 8 years’ experience in Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public Facilities, preferably including Educational Facility Construction. • BS or BA in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a closely related field. 4 years additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above, may be substituted for the required education. • DSA Class 1 Inspector Certification (Active). • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes. • 1 year of experience in the supervision or inspection of engineering construction work. • Ability to read and interpret complex construction blueprints. • Experience with using programs such Microsoft Office and web-based program management software.
