Description
• Lead technical strategy and execution for the Study Native team and the iOS platform • Champion the strategic direction and architectural vision of the iOS platform, addressing technical challenges, driving initiatives for complex integrations, and large scale project execution • Lead and influence cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering, product, design, and other stakeholders • Drive engineering excellence, advocating for a high performing codebase that meets business and user needs • Mentor Senior iOS Engineers • Prioritize and manage the iOS platform backlog, making strategic decisions on issue triage, prioritization, and grooming to balance immediate product goals with long-term platform health • Oversee significant refactors and redesign • Set standards for code reviews and engineering processes • Automate strategic parts of the development process • Lead iOS prototyping for groundbreaking new Quizlet features
Requirements
• 7+ years of experience building iOS applications • Mastery of Apple frameworks (e.g. SwiftUI, StoreKit) • A solid CS fundamentals background • A track record of technical leadership • Exceptional problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and presentation skills • A track record of leading technical teams through positive changes Bonus points if you have: • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform Development • Experience successfully advocating architecture improvements to multidisciplinary stakeholders • Proficiency in refactoring code with architectural patterns like MVVM • Contributed or improved continuous integration processes with systems like CircleCI using Python and/or Ruby • Experience with reactive programming frameworks like Combine or RxSwift
