Description

• The Technical Writer creates clear and concise technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and API documentation for our SaaS products. • This role involves working closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather information and ensure accuracy and clarity of content. • Ensures that all documentation is user-friendly and meets company standards. • Create and maintain user manuals, online help systems, API documentation, and other technical documents. • Create well-structured documentation that balances readability and deeper technical detail when needed. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and understand complex technical information. • Plan documentation solutions independently or collaboratively with a team. • Translate technical concepts into easily understandable content for various audiences, including customers and support team. • Maintain a consistent documentation style guide. • Review and edit documents for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to company standards. • Help maintain and organize existing documentation. • Participate in product development cycles to ensure timely delivery of documentation. • Incorporate user feedback to improve existing documentation. • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in technical writing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field; OR 2-4 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a software or SaaS environment • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills • Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, DITA Framework) • Familiarity with markup languages (e.g., HTML, XML, Markdown) • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts • Ability to collaborate openly with others • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Experience with API documentation • Knowledge of agile development methodologies • Familiarity with content management systems • Basic understanding of programming concepts • Experience with graphic design tools for creating visuals in documentation
