• Responsible for working across all engineering disciplines to tackle challenging issues throughout design, build, test, and launch operations • Perform independent assessments of subsystem and system designs • Drive architectural decision making to improve vehicle reliability • Identify technical deficiencies across the program and implement solutions to mitigate excess risk • Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions • Develop processes and tools to assess manufacturing issues, manage technical risk, and evaluate changes to vehicle configuration
• An undergraduate degree in engineering or related field • 5+ years of experience with engineering problem-solving • Knowledge of complex aerospace hardware and processes • Solid interpersonal skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Self-starter and willing to continuously learn • Nice to have: Experience in mission assurance, reliability analysis, or systems safety • Nice to have: Full product life cycle experience with a new launch vehicle or spacecraft • Nice to have: Experience with anomaly resolution, corrective actions, and lessons learned databases • Nice to have: Experience with engineering risk management, engineering configuration, and change management
