Description

• Manage the Business Intelligence team • Guide a new team from storming to performing • Mentor and train members of the team in data analysis, visualization, and SQL • Collaborate with executives and business leaders to understand data needs • Translate data needs into technical requirements for data products • Create documentation for reference, process, and results • Establish process to receive feedback on implemented projects • Drive the concept of data as a product • Stay up to date with industry trends in business intelligence • Work with the Enterprise Technology & Data leadership team on Insights roadmap • Create project plans for larger initiatives • Lead multiple large scale, high impact projects • Manage the Insights Agile scrum team • Deliver and report on quarterly OKRs • Act as a trusted advisor on data utilisation • Establish SLAs, metrics, objectives and success criteria for the team • Nurture strong stakeholder relationships built on trust

Requirements

• 3-5 years of formal people manager experience leading teams of 3+ • 8+ years in data (business intelligence, analytics engineering, data science, etc.) • 1+ years of SaaS industry experience required. • Strong working experience with Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering teams; Data Science is a plus. • Exemplary analytical problem-solving skills, and knowledge of business intelligence tools (I.e. Domo, Looker, Tableau). • Advanced knowledge of SQL; Python a strongly preferred. • Familiarity with a Modern Data Stack (I.e. ETL tools like dbt, Airflow, Fivetran and cloud data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake, Azure, or Redshift). • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Strong attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication skills. • Intrinsically motivated to achieve goals, deliver on tasks without reminders, and be very responsive in a remote environment. • Occasional travel may be required.
