Description
• This lawyer will play a key part in the Company’s business of developing, constructing, owning, and operating thermal energy storage (“TES”) projects throughout the United States and around the globe. • A close working relationship with the commercial team is essential. • While the project development aspect will be the predominant functional responsibility, the position will also take on the other corporate and commercial legal responsibilities. • The company is growing so fast, and the team is working so hard so everyone must pitch in where needed to meet the demands of the business.
Requirements
• A law degree from an accredited law school • Bar membership in good standing in at least one jurisdiction. • 3 – 25 years of experience in the energy or infrastructure industries. • Strong experience in project finance or project development • English fluency • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills • Well-organized and hardworking, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment • Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously under tight timelines. • A high level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to grasp and develop creative legal solutions responsive to the applicable business objective and explain those legal solutions to non-lawyers • Sound judgment and unquestionable ethics and integrity • Flexibility. • Excitement to wear many different hats and ability to re-prioritize to meet business goals • Strong interest and curiosity with respect to the global energy industry and the Company's business and operations • Ability to embrace innovation and change and belief that there is always room for improvement • Location. The company headquarters is in Alameda, CA.
