• Lead UX Initiatives: Drive the evolution of SheerID’s user experience strategy, ensuring alignment with our mission and customer needs. • Customer-Centric Design: Conduct ongoing user research and customer discovery to deeply understand the customer journey, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities for improvement. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to design, test, and implement innovative UX solutions. • Advocate for Privacy: Uphold SheerID’s privacy-first principles, ensuring that our UX designs reflect our commitment to minimal data usage and strong privacy protections. • Role Specific Job Duties: Lead and join continuous discovery conversations with customers, users and internal stakeholders. • Participate on development teams as needed, collaborating with the product manager and tech lead to design and test solutions. • Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows for new products and features. • Create product prototypes at various levels of fidelity. • Map (and keep up to date) the customer and user journey, and effectively communicate it to the organization. • Develop personas and usage scenarios. • Conduct usability testing as needed. • Design challenges include: implementing new features, improving existing ones and enhancing the look and cohesiveness of the entire experience. • Develop and maintain a UX roadmap to share with product and engineering leadership to use in planning for and implementing the vision. • Serve as a UX thought leader in the organization. • Delegate as appropriate to SheerID’s visual designer on contract, for final design polish.
• 5+ years experience in user experience and product design in a B2B2C or B2C SaaS software company. • Strong communication skills and demonstrated success presenting in a clear and compelling manner to cross-functional stakeholders. • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build rapport and establish credibility, thrives in collaborative work. • Detail-oriented, with strong organization and process skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under time constraints. • Strong visual and interaction design skills. • Strong design portfolio (with examples of work on web and mobile apps). • Expertise in usability design. • Be self-directed but also collaborative. • Keen problem-solving and organizational abilities. • Creativity and attention to detail. • Experience with key graphic design, wireframing, and collaboration tools, such as Figma, UXPin, Adobe, Invisisionapp, Proto.io, Zeplin, Photoshop, Illustrator and Canva. • Preferred: adept with key web front-end technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
