• SPAN’s Power Electronics team seeks a multidisciplinary power electronics engineer intern. • Involved in developing power converter platforms used in SPAN products. • Responsibilities include support evaluation, testing, and design of power converters. • Create schematics and layouts using Altium Designer. • PCBA prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Passion for clean energy technology and decarbonization • Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or equivalent fields • Experience with first principles analysis of physical systems • Excellent communication skills • Experience in Lab Testing environments with actual hardware prototypes or components • Experience with Altium Designer • Experience with soldering re-work • Experience with power electronics PCBA board bring up • Bonus Qualifications: • Experience with Simulink, PLECS, or SPICE (e.g., LTspice) applied to electronics, semiconductor, and magnetic design • Experience using Python, C++, or C • Experience with Typhoon HIL • Experience working with Grid and High Voltage Simulators • Ph.D. students or Candidates
