Description
• Mentoring students in the Data Engineering Career Track course • Assisting students with end-to-end development processes • Providing in-depth knowledge in SQL, Python, data pipelines, data transformation, Spark, and cloud services • Helping students master core concepts and skills in data engineering • Participating in biweekly 30-minute check-ins with students • Communicating with students outside of calls as needed
Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Developer or related fields • Excellent understanding of fundamental data engineering skills, tools, and concepts • Familiarity with Apache Spark, Python, SQL, NoSQL databases, Cloud Engineering, Data Modeling, and Apache Kafka • Experience solving real-life data engineering problems with large data sets • Availability for weekly, 30-minute video check-ins with students • Availability to review projects and answer questions outside of weekly calls • Empathetic and excellent communication skills
