Description

• The ideal candidate will apply their broad management skills and specialized functional and technical expertise to guide project teams in delivering client solutions or to manage the day-to-day operations. • Provides leadership and overall direction within a single organization or serves as the project manager of a single large program containing multiple task elements. • Coordinates personnel, services and products from a variety of functional areas. • Applies industry as well as training, change management, functional, technical, and project management expertise. • This functional service will assist Federal Agency with managing complex Section 508 related projects. • This functional service involves planning, organizing and managing project activities required to complete complex accessibility projects with predetermined parameters. • The project management team will apply the necessary skills, tools and proven best practices to help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. • The Project Manager shall have proven project management implementation, experience managing accessibility projects, and may have a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. • The lead/team lead, or project manager will manage the performance of contractors. • The team will provide remediation services for WORD, PDF, and Excel records, that may or may not contain redactions and may or may not be images. • Conduct section 508 requirements for PDF and Excel documents. • Specific expertise is needed for 508 requirements in order to troubleshoot issues and create accessible documents. • Remediate documents containing redactions. • Remediate documents that are images. • Remediate documents that are unable to apply Optical Character Recognition software. • The contractor shall not solely rely on automation to assist with making documents 508 compliant. • The contractor shall make and ensure all documents are compliant with agency's standards. • Remediate documents to ensure 508 compliance. • Remediate documents with the time specified by the OD and OSC Project Manager (PM). • Document that the documents fully passes the HHS and FDA checklists. • Notify the PM when a document requires the insertion of Alt text. • Perform final document remediation within ten (10) business days after the PM has reviewed and returned the work product to the contractor for final remediation. • The process for remediation shall include: 1) The first remediation work product. 2) Review and corrections of the work product returned to the contractor. 3) Delivery of final remediated documents(s).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and five years of experience with Section 508 compliance. • Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred. DDA experience.
