Description
• The data analyst role is part of the analytics team, will report to the Head of Data Science. • Responsible for performing deep-dive analysis to understand and optimize key levers of our product’s marketing funnel: acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. • Designing core metrics that serve as North Stars for team efforts and OKRs. • Contribute to creating a foundation of analytical excellence at the League and promoting a culture of data-driven decision making. • Excellent communication skills. • Robust knowledge of SQL. • Experience using programming languages such as python/R to automate analyses and analytical work. • Apply statistics, modeling, and machine learning techniques to improve efficiency and relevance of The League’s matching algorithm. • Work towards creating a data-driven culture at The League.
Requirements
• Bachelors’ in CS, Engineering, Physics, Math, Statistics, Business, Economics or related field. • Fluency in SQL. • Deep understanding of statistical analysis, experiment design, and common pitfalls of data analysis. • Expertise in at least one programming language useful for statistical analysis (e.g. python/R). • Strong communicator. • Critical thinker. • Can lead initiatives across multiple product areas while communicating findings with leadership and product teams. • Nice to have: Prior experience in Gaming or Dating industry. • Knowledgeable about the machine learning trade-offs and model evaluation.
