• Twilio is looking for an experienced Director, Cybersecurity Counsel to act as Twilio’s first dedicated global cybersecurity legal lead • This role will be part of Twilio’s Privacy team, reporting to Twilio’s Chief Privacy Officer

Requirements

• Qualified US lawyer with strong academic credentials and demonstrated record of success as a lawyer • 8+ years of legal experience, with at least 4+ years in private practice • Significant experience in cybersecurity, privacy and technology related laws and regulations • Significant experience in supporting and advising on cybersecurity incidents, including forensics investigations and the use of third party researchers • Significant knowledge of evolving trends and best practices for privacy and cybersecurity regimes • Demonstrated ability to apply legal and risk analysis to factual circumstances and exercise sound judgment • Demonstrated experience supporting the development of corporate cybersecurity and privacy programs • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated legal writing skill in describing key facts, analyzing legal issues and presenting advice clearly and succinctly to senior executives • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with people at all levels within and outside of the organization • Ability to manage a large matter load of varying complexity and work efficiently and productively • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US or EU) desirable but not essential
