Description

• Guide junior engineers through one-on-ones and pairing sessions, providing support and development opportunities. • Resolve technical and personal issues that impede team progress, ensuring a smooth workflow. • Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to help engineers improve their skills. • Conduct and evaluate numerous technical interviews to identify and hire top talent. • Improve the onboarding process, ensuring new hires feel welcome, included, and ready to contribute. • Spend time with team members to help them identify priorities, focus on important tasks, and grow their skills.

Requirements

• Empathy: Highly empathetic with a focus on creating a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable contributing. • Experience: Proven track record as a software developer with a deep understanding of best practices and a desire to teach others. • People Skills: Passionate about fostering a positive team culture and investing in the softer skills required for effective management. • Machine Learning Knowledge: Comfortable with training deep neural networks and familiar with the latest machine learning theories and practices. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Problem-solving abilities to resolve both personal and technical issues. • Experience with pair programming and collaborative development. • Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools. • Ability to conduct effective technical interviews. • Organizational skills to manage onboarding and mentoring processes. • Flexibility and adaptability to support a diverse team of engineers.
