Description

• You’ll gather and analyse metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. • Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures. • Participate in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning. • Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts. • Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications. • Measure and optimise system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs. • Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large scale distributed software applications.

Requirements

• A strong engineering background, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering or Data Science, or suchlike. • At least 3+ years experience in a similar role. • Coding experience beyond simple scripts. • Flexibility in learning new technologies and a general curiosity, fuelling the willingness to find the right tech stack to solve the problems at hand. • A strong work ethic, and a keen interest in being part of a rapidly growing start up. • Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement. • An ability to take initiative and deliver a very needed feature end to end. • A keen eye for customers' needs, looking beyond the obvious. • An ability to collaborate with teams across the organisation. • An ability to travel to customers globally, up to 25% of the time.
