Description
• Partner with the SVP of Corporate Communications to define corporate communication strategies. • Develop PR materials like press releases, Q&As, website content, etc. • Build relationships with media outlets for local, regional, and national coverage. • Partner with internal stakeholders to align communication across the organization. • Work with R&D Communications on strategies to showcase Vir's impact. • Manage and direct external agency partners effectively.
Requirements
• Bachelors' degree with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience in Communications in the pharmaceutical/biotech area is required. • Demonstrated experience crafting and executing successful traditional media, social media, and internal communications strategies. • Strong written skills in corporate and scientific content. • Experience supporting senior leaders with executive communications and thought leadership strategies. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, facilitate, and organize across multiple groups and levels of an organization, including direct collaboration with C-suite colleagues. • Understanding of SEC and FDA regulations affecting communications. • Must be located in the San Francisco area.
